Merezzate+ project was presented as a success story which demonstrates how sustainability solutions can be adopted at the scale of an entire district through the creation of a ‘Living Lab’ in an affordable housing development.

Merezzate+ project is also mentioned in the paper titled ‘Circular Economy in Cities requires a Systems Approach’, written by Anders Wijkman with co-authors Thomas Osdoba, Svea Heineman and Devni Acharya.

Sharing and circular economy principles promoted in Merezzate+ are mentioned in the paper, highlighting the project also as an example in the use of waste heat recovery and low temperatures heating and cooling networks.
